I do not vouch for accuracy but if you travel a lot and need a HOT SPOT then this is the site you should check on. Did I mention the new RSS Reader I am using?

I received a call from Martha tonight telling me that the package arrived! I can only surmise that it is the long awaited USB to Ethernet converter I won on ebay for $6.95+shipping. It seemed like a deal but I will reserve final judgement until I install the thing and make it play.

Do you know how long it has been since I was on a real honest to goodness commercial airline? It has been years, probably more than 5, since I have had to travel that way! I love to fly and have piloted my way through most of the USA during the past couple of decades. Couple this with all the commercial flying I used to do for “the company” and I have a good portion of my life in the air.

The latest gig takes me to a place where I could take the general aviation path; however, commercial flying is cheaper by far so, reluctantly, I will do the route on Delta or ATA. The route is TPA (or PIE)-CVG-TOL and takes only about 4.5 hrs with transfer. However, I have to be there at least 1.5 hours before the flight so with the overhead it takes about the same time as if I piloted the Comanche.

Things have changed in the terminals with Sept 2001 events. Americans are no longer free to come and go as before so I guess the bad guys got what they wanted and we have the Home Land Defense group to watch over us and our actions. As old Clyde Shaw (one of my professors at Tri-State University) would say – How Poor! It seems like no one in Washington will rest easy until we become what we accused the USSR of being a decade or two ago. Enough of this ranting – I feel better already.

By this time tomorrow night I should be on my way home. I must admit I have not been very faithful to my blog(s). It seems that I have no time and the short weekends are even shorter doing small chores and geocaching. Couple that with with exersizing and it is time for bed, like 2130 hrs, only to arise at 0600: I need my 8 hours sleep.

Tonight I went to “The Cuban Delight” for my comida since it is the closest diner and I had not been there before. The food tasted real good. I had Arroz con Pollo with side of frioles negro. The meal comes with plantin – sort of a bananna. It was all good and about twice as much as I could eat. I could have brought some home but it would be a waste since I am leaving tomorrow.

Hopefully, I can become more active with the blog again as I enjoy writing and sharing experiencies. No one probably reads them (as determined by my activity logs) but none the less I read somewhere that once published to the web they will remain there on into infinity on some server or another – sort of like an alter-spirit – and that keeps our thoughts alive in a form.

This was a weekend of recouperation (man, I hope it is spelled correctly). We worked on Saturday and put in long hours too. Sunday was R&R most of the day – OK, I just lied as I spent the whole morning doing expense reports and invoicing. The afternoon was easy and I did two caches – the first one I did not find and I think it was pilfered and the second one was a virtual cache of a F16. I am too tired to put the pictures of this one up on the board. We worked until 1830 tonight, Monday, and I just abandoned the work area as we were getting nowhere fast and everyone was frazzled. I try to put up the pictures later. Right now I need to relax a bit and then go to bed. It is called conservation of energy! BFN….Love ya all.

Hi all, please forgive the delay in blogging. All my faithful supporters have been wondering if I was still around and kicking. Well, I am and in fine spirit too. The past couple of weeks have been action packed and full of adventure.

I arrived at Martha’s house last Saturday, Oct 25th, and took a day of rest before starting the Manatee County job. The week passed quickly and I have become acquainted with a host of people from the county and from subcontractors. These are a great bunch of people and I am looking forward to the months to come.

Today I went “geocaching”. All totaled, I found 5 caches today. Normally, I do not go for volume and I just enjoy the nature and environment in general but today was special. Rarely do I meet cachers but today I did so teamed up with them on a couple of caches and we had a great time. Team Burgi is their name – Yuzawa Kat & Burgi Dad specifically. We met accidently met at my first cache of the day. After a brief discussion of “caching” we departed company but again met by accident at my first traditional cache of the day. It was a micro – like small and hard to find. Well, it was hard to find and I danced around it for hours but finally took time to look where I knew it had to be. On my way out I bumped into Yuzawa & Burgi so I returned with them so I could see them sweat too – guess what? – they found it right away. The park is a nice little park with good views.Anyway to make a short story long, I returned with them to one of the ones they did not find today. I took a few pictures so I will post them later – right now SAM is MSN’ing me so I have to leave the blog ground. Here are so pictures of the virtual caches – Pic 1, Pic 2 and Pic 3(this picture shows the storm surge water heights for catagory 1 – 5 hurricanes) WOW!.
