Posted on November 1st, 2003 No commentsHi all, please forgive the delay in blogging. All my faithful supporters have been wondering if I was still around and kicking. Well, I am and in fine spirit too. The past couple of weeks have been action packed and full of adventure.
I arrived at Martha’s house last Saturday, Oct 25th, and took a day of rest before starting the Manatee County job. The week passed quickly and I have become acquainted with a host of people from the county and from subcontractors. These are a great bunch of people and I am looking forward to the months to come.
Today I went “geocaching”. All totaled, I found 5 caches today. Normally, I do not go for volume and I just enjoy the nature and environment in general but today was special. Rarely do I meet cachers but today I did so teamed up with them on a couple of caches and we had a great time. Team Burgi is their name – Yuzawa Kat & Burgi Dad specifically. We met accidently met at my first cache of the day. After a brief discussion of “caching” we departed company but again met by accident at my first traditional cache of the day. It was a micro – like small and hard to find. Well, it was hard to find and I danced around it for hours but finally took time to look where I knew it had to be. On my way out I bumped into Yuzawa & Burgi so I returned with them so I could see them sweat too – guess what? – they found it right away. The park is a nice little park with good views.Anyway to make a short story long, I returned with them to one of the ones they did not find today. I took a few pictures so I will post them later – right now SAM is MSN’ing me so I have to leave the blog ground. Here are so pictures of the virtual caches – Pic 1, Pic 2 and Pic 3(this picture shows the storm surge water heights for catagory 1 – 5 hurricanes) WOW!.
