Rain Today!

The day dawned brilliantly and the drive over “The Sunshine” was quite relaxing. Crews were just starting to come together as I arrived and we had a good day working as planned. Ending the day at 1700 I started the trek through Palmetto and out the bridge for the return. Where was the sun? Not to the north thats for sure and by the time I hit 22nd North it was raining cats and dogs. My usual trip home increased by about 30 minutes and the side of the streets were running deep.

Dinner was a quieting event as I listened to the rain patter on the roof. Peace again and as I listen now the rain is hitting the roof in a certain staccato that is soothing to the inner most regions: All is well with my soul as the refrain goes.
