Near by lays my old pad on “The Lake” that was my home here in Detroit Metro from about 1999 – 2002. Fishing was great in the summer and the long lane was a chore in winter (3 hours to snowblow). In a way I was glad to leave. In a way I was sad too as the demise of a contract, a real good team, a company and more than a few friends is reality striking. So anyway it is a new dawn and promises to be sunny.

Actually I am doing some cool stuff in wireless & ITS planning area for my company. The combination will result in real travel advances for my grandchildren’s children. The public/private team doing all this are all great people and a who’s who of Detroit Intelligent Transportation society.

Grandchildren’s children! Seems like a long time does it not? Actually, it is a snap of the fingers for us all. What seems like a long time today is a blink of the eye looking back from the future. Anyway, you can go see another blog of mine if you want to.

Last Friday afternoon late I drove from PL to Battle Creek to get Woody’s cargo trailer. All weekend it was load, load, load. The big stuff went in first and then it will be stuff the corners. On the 4th I will drive it all to Grand Rapids and the new place. This will be the move in day & I even have a bed to sleep upon. Grandpa L’s day bed is coming up too and will be the living room couch. Mom’s writing desk too will be here.

Today I left work a little early to get the utilities hooked up. Comcast came in at the end of the day and hooked up the internet. After they left I did a hard boot on the wireless router and now am on the net via it and Comcast writing this. The Comcast installers were real helpful and stayed after to help get things going smoothly without a fight. Kudo’s to Comcast!

I have only 14% battery left so I have to go….Bye.
