  • A Dreary Saturday

Today was overcast and somewhat depressing. However, I need the rest as I was working much extended hours in Detroit doing a myiad of site surveys (at least 30 with multiple trips to each site). The truck got stuck in an area I had just traversed but we were lucky to get it out for a $100.

By truck, I mean the bucket truck we had rented from an old reliable source. What you do is get into the bucket and go up high – say 60′ – and look around like you were a camera. If you can see far each way then it is a good spot. If a tree or building is in the way you have to pick another spot and we picked a lot of spots.

Today, I went flying with Bill E. in a Cessna 150 to test a new prop we had just put on it. At cruise RPM it was OK but bounced at low RPM’s so we will have to end for end the prop to see if it balances out. This will be left for another day. It was fun to fly as PIC again. BTW – I am looking for a Kitfox IV with 100 HP engine if you know of one.
