Friday night and another stay at home!
Posted on August 19th, 2005 No commentsI worked today in the Indiana home office. I put some real quality time in today and answered a lot of questions on the project we are doing in Michigan near Detroit. Having a few minutes and need, I sorted through all my old CD’s and Floppies for material that might come in handy. Eureka! I found all sorts of interesting things. Lots of old pictures, some of who have departed this life, parties and other cool remberances. That sort of ended the business day.
After work I finished mowing the lawn I started last night. Being a beautiful afternoon late, I put the kayak in the water and paddled around the lake, first running before a stiff breeze and later into it for the trip up the lake. After putzing around at the western end I let the breeze push me back to the beach and pulled Mr. Yellow on to the grass for the night. By now it was 1800 hrs and still fully 2 hours of light.
What to do? Ok, I called a few people to see if they wanted to go out to Lake James and tour the lake in the Ski Nautique. No one was home so I went out alone and it was beautiful. Few people equals few waves and with a low wind it was pretty smooth. Three sailboats were on the second basin so it was not a windless day but still no whitecaps either.
I arrived back at the pad about dark and jumped on the net to look for RV’s. I have fallen in love with the legacy GMC Birchaven RV. I just like the style of the 1976-78 models and in particular the 23′ unit. There were a whole slew of floor plans so I guess I will have to be choosy.
Time to sign off for tonight as I have to shower to get the grass off my skin. I feel itchy from mowing today. BFN.
