{"id":330,"date":"2008-03-31T19:27:24","date_gmt":"2008-04-01T00:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.charleswmoore.org\/wordpress\/?p=330"},"modified":"2008-03-31T19:27:24","modified_gmt":"2008-04-01T00:27:24","slug":"kayaking-and-how-to-get-wet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.charleswmoore.org\/wordpress\/index.php\/2008\/03\/31\/kayaking-and-how-to-get-wet\/","title":{"rendered":"Kayaking and how to get wet!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here come the T-Storms.\u00a0 It started to\u00a0rain just about the time I went down to go kayaking this afternoon.\u00a0 Usually I enter the water by powering up an old section of dock that I put in the water &#8211; about half is in the<\/p>\n<p><img align=\"left\" src=\"http:\/\/www.charleswmoore.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/centgrtlakes1.thumbnail.gif\" alt=\"Here come the Storms\" \/>water and half on land.\u00a0 However, today I decided to see if I could do a straddle entry.\u00a0 I straddled from the rear and got into the boat but the seat was down and when I tried to scooch froward to get the seat back up things got a little crazy and I tipped out of the boat and into the cold water.\u00a0 The kayak was half filled with water and the small amount of water that penetrated through the rain jacket and nylon pants ran right down into my neoprene boots.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I pulled the boat up on the\u00a0 beach and dumped it out as best I could and this time went down the slide of the dock section.
