Article\n I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution provides the House of \nRepresentatives with the \u201csole Power of Impeachment\u201d and Article I, \nSection 3 provides the Senate with the \u201csole Power to try all \nImpeachments.\u201d As Senate trial proceedings begin,\n I will uphold my duty as an impartial impeachment juror and carefully \nevaluate the facts and legal arguments presented. I take all my \nresponsibilities very seriously and I hope the proceedings can be \ncompleted quickly so we can get back to the work Hoosiers elected me to \ndo, including reining in health care costs, taking care of veterans, \nkeeping Americans safe and secure, and continuing to grow our economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please\n be assured I will keep your thoughts in mind as I evaluate the evidence\n and legal arguments during the impeachment trial. Once the trial \nconcludes, I will provide you with an explanation of my vote. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
