{"id":858,"date":"2009-12-19T15:54:32","date_gmt":"2009-12-19T20:54:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.charleswmoore.org\/wordpress\/?p=858"},"modified":"2009-12-19T15:54:32","modified_gmt":"2009-12-19T20:54:32","slug":"been-a-while","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.charleswmoore.org\/wordpress\/index.php\/2009\/12\/19\/been-a-while\/","title":{"rendered":"Been a while"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been some time since I was last here blogging.\u00a0 A lot has been going on.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My ISP has changed the email system and I was intermittant and sometimes totally out of the email business.\u00a0 It still is not correct since my SMTP will still not work.\u00a0 I use Outlook and have 5 accounts set up.\u00a0 My default was my ISP but I had to change it to gmail so I could send mail.<\/li>\n<li>The Christmas Letter 2009 was finished several days ago but I could not send it.\u00a0 I have\u00a0two Christmas Letter groups with about 25 names in each group.\u00a0 I sent the letter days ago and it appeared to go OK to each group.\u00a0 Things were strangely silent after that.\u00a0 I almost always get a comment or two -No Comments.\u00a0 Sure enough many people did not get the letter.\u00a0 I sent it again &amp; the same thing happened.\u00a0 Finally I started sending them individually.<\/li>\n<li>Church website is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angolaag.com\">http:\/\/www.angolaag.com<\/a> and I took on the task of cleaning it up a bit.\u00a0 That took a surprizing amount of time and the activity continues.\u00a0 I spent a couple of days just getting used to the CMS GUI.\u00a0 As it turns out I have to hand code most of the stylesheet controls.\u00a0 The CMS also used depreciated HTML such as &lt;font&gt; and &lt;b&gt;.\u00a0 The code is also very dirty &#8211; for example if you do a test size 3 and later change it the code calls for a size three and then nests the size 4.\u00a0 Now I am looking for some good gif&#8217;s or Flash to replace some of the drab pictures. I did a few IFRAMES too.<\/li>\n<li>Last night was the Primetimers group at church so we both attended.\u00a0 It was entertaining and the pizza that SAM made was good.\u00a0 We got home about 2100 hrs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now I have to figure out what I do with the Christnas News Letter 2009.
