Yesterday Bobby Rickman and I cut down two 24″ Ash trees that had died due to the Ash Borer. We buzzed one up yesterday and today SAM & I cut up the other one.  There are two more bigger ones down in the woods now that need to be cut up also.  I think Monday we will start the splitting estimated 2 cords of wood. This may take a week ± & then we start on the downed ones in the woods. Lots of exersize this month.

  • EAA Chapter 2

Posted on October 2nd, 2016 cwmoore No comments

We went to the 60th anniversary of EAA Chapter 2 and Met up with Les Zehr my original aviation mentor. He was well honored tonight for his long time contributions to grassroots aviation. An added item, that was asurprise to me, was that all past officers were invited to stand for pictures with Les and present officers. So I stood with them as an officer from 1969 – 1974. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, so much so that I re-upped with both EAA National & Chapter 2.  My EAA number is rather low by today’s numbers in the millions: Mine is in the 58K range as I snobbishly tell interested pilots.
