  • Christmas Party 2009

Posted on December 30th, 2009 cwmoore No comments

The AOG Christmas Service this year featured youths from 4 – 12 grades.  These pictures were put here and are rotated by JW Image Roatator.  I will get back to add some more pictures later.   New Year’s Eve tomorrow!  Brandon was home from the Air Force and attended the services.

  • Snow today

Posted on December 28th, 2009 cwmoore No comments

There was more snow today.  I was scheduled to do the snowplowing out at the airport today – Monday is always my day in the winter.  I called early and the Airport Manager said the snow was being blown clear of the taxi and runways plus the West side of the hangars was clear and the East side only had a couple of inches.  After a discussion he said snowblowing was not necessary today so Walt here is to you tomorrow – with a hope that the wind is down and the snow stops tonight.

No websites to work on today so I was more than a little bored.  I did manage to get the 5th coat of Cetol on the sailboat doors.  Maybe I can get the coat of Cetol Gloss on tomorrow and they will be finished.  Yea!!!  This is the only varnishing worked scheduled for this winter.  Now I have to check on the price of VC17 for the bottom of the boat.

  • In the Beginning

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 cwmoore No comments

Mellow Dude: In the beginning, there was nothing more than I wanted than to have a web presence. So, I generated a Linux server via Apache and suffered numerous insults but finally got a site up and running. The site borrowed from a collage of various scripts, html but a lot of Perl Freeware. With much trials and tribulation a site resulted that had home made buttons, really garish colors, extremely poor code and a lot of high resolution pictures of aircraft.

Aircraft being my particular passion at the time, this was and still is the basis for the site – Try http://www.virtualmoore.com for a complete version of the first try scenerio.

Later, I actually understood what HTML actually was and could manipulate it with more or less impunity buy I never learned to spell.

Much later, I am a Webmaster and a web designer and developer. Now I, more or less, understand the process. However, my peer group does not comprehend the least little thing about what I am talking about now.

In the las two weeks, I have generated two websites. I acutally typed in the content and did all the URL, Name Server and Re-direction things necessary to bring to life a website that is viable. Man, I feel good.

  • Working on new website

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 cwmoore No comments

Ihave been building a new website for Falcon Aviation LLC for the last day or so.  This included everything from start and soon to be done finish.  It is a relatively simple site but took a while using officelive to get the name servers set and the key words and becoming verified.  It is almost over now but there will be several fine tunes and hopefully a few add-on pages as time progresses.

I am still working on the Angola Assembly of God website.  This will be an ongoing adventure but it is starting to come around a bit and will get better and better.  The learning curve is on the downside and it is much easier to add content because I know what the CMS is going to do.

I may be getting another site to do but the gentleman did not call yet.  Here’s hoping.

  • Christmas Church Program

Posted on December 20th, 2009 cwmoore No comments

Our church Christmas program was today and it was funny seeing the wee ones looking totally like “what is going on”.  The young ladies and gentlemen had a good singing part and the service was nice.  Afterwards we had a big lunch that the ladies put on for everyone.

I came home and decided I was going to make text wrap around the Flash I generated yesterday.  I had not use the OBJECT statement before so it took a little time to get the Flash working and then a little more time to get the text wrap working but now it is published and if you are interested it can be seen at http://www.angolaassemblyofgod.com and now what can I do? Yes, I know I’ll put some hyperlinks on some of the placeholder pages.

    Merry Christmas everyone!
