Friday Night on the boat.

I arrived at the boat about 1830 hours and loaded the stuff on to the boat then went to the grocery store for some supplies.  Now it is 2035 hrs and I am writing this piece of art.  The forecast and radar are calling for rain but at least it is cool – about 65 – and is expected to get to 59 tonight.

After arrival AI noticed we had forgotten to close the head portlight and it had rained in through the open portlight.  At least the screen appears to have diverted some of the rain and maybe the wind direction helped too.

Last night I took the kayak up the Pigeon River from Bower Lake through Little Bower and on around the corner on the way to Long Lake.  I had not quite reached LL when two kayakers I know we coming back downstream.  I decided to turn around and join them; however, when we reached the Mud Lake branch of the river I decided to go over to ML and then across the Lake and back. I caught up with the duo about half way back from the ML split so I must have been cranking on the speed aand they were going slow.  It was a good work out but next time it will be done with mosquito repellent as the critters are really hatching now.
