Hulu.com here we come

We bought a Dell Optiplex 3.4 GHz machine used off of eBay and a VGA to S-Video converter from Sewell.  Today I installed everything needed to stream video to the HDTV and hooked up the HS Internet.  We got to try it out and it worked real well.  It was so good that we watched old programs for several hours – Fringe & SG-1 mostly.

The video is fed to the TV via S-Video from the Sewell VGA to S-Video converter.  Audio comes from the PC and is fed to the audio amp.  It is a bit of set up required but once this is done the video streams very nicely to the TV.

The ultimate goal of this exersize is to terminate the cable TV service.  It is just to expensive for what we get out of it.
