  • Lazy Sunday

Time “fell back this AM” and we awoke at 0700 local time whindering why the sun was up.  I tried to go back to sleep but the sun was up.  We went to church early and got some good coffee.  Had plenty of time to get into the usual seat and prepare for the services.  The message was a first in the series of Seven Mountains of Influence:  want to know more then Google it.

I spent a lot of time uploading todays message and then changed some of the website for Pastor Brian.  After this I meandered through the afternoon up to this time.  Sort of a beautiful but boring day.  Later I called Martha to see what was happening.  She is coming up for Christmas around Dec 15 and leaving after the new year.

I am trying to get this to work but do not understand all the switches.

  • Saturday Evening

We went to Hamilton Fish & Game Club for the benefit for Gene Gorrell, a PL classmate.  He has a life threatening throat cancer.  We saw a lot of the PL people but had to leave right after eating to attend our Saturday evening church services at AAOG.  After the service was a pizza party – tonight was a pretty small group.  We went home after a short time as everyone was tired.

This afternoon, with SAM at garage sales, I went out and meandered through 6 caches finding them all.  It was a beautiful time outside in the full sun and cool temperatures.

  • Saturday the Beautiful

A beautiful day dawned.  Nothing special is planned for today but it looks like I should get outside.  I came across a good article on “rare earth metals” this morning and it took a while to go through the 19 pages but I thought it was worth it.  Here is the link.

I am still reading “The Seventh Scroll” and about 3/4 of the way through the action heats up.  It is an OK book for bedtime reading but I have not really been drawn into the plot & characters.

I removed Tweet This app and will go back to the drawing board and look for other apps to see if they work.  Have a good day….Moore later.

  • Wrapping up today….

I installed a new automatic tweeting app and tested it out but it too does not work.    Internet went dead this AM and will be out for several hours so I went Geocaching to the east – Edon, OH to be exact and found three caches and all of them were tough and tricky.  When I got back I saw the tweets that I had sent earlier were not in my Twitter page.  Another problem to solve.  This evening I watched Fringe, S2 E5, and it was OK.  It seems like they are losing their imagination.

  • A 4 cache day

The weather was cold and rainy in the morning but sort of cleared to a cool partly sunny day in late afternoon so I got restless.  SAM was in town so I went south to do a few caches.  Today all four were successful.  On return I logged the caches.

This morning the new TP-Link wireless N PCI adapter arrived so I took down the GX280 and blew out all the dust and then installed PCI adapter.  I fired the computer up and installed the driver software and did the link up with the new wireless N router.  I had a wireless 300MBPS connection!  I watched a Hulu vid just to see what would happen and, man, it was flawless at 480.  This TP-Link router rocks.  No more cables running along the walls.

  • Two days of sunshine!

We have had two days of beautiful, cool weather.  Today, since I had already voted, I used the morning calling contractors to get some help on an issue bugging us for some time.  In the afternoon, I took the CD’s back to the church & went caching for the Pedestrian Trail caches.  I went back to #5 and looked but no joy (later I found the owner had moved to a new area) and did the same for #7 (no joy either).  However, I found #4 & #6 so the afternoon was not a totaly wash.  I probably will not go back to the two caches I did not find because I do not particularly like the environment they are placed in – some caches just have bad karma.  As I write I await the election results with a fatal attitude.

The VM’s tried this one [geocache] today and found the water levels so low that a non-ucky approach to the island seemed improbable so we decided to take the rest of the cool but sunny fall day, with moderate East winds, to cruise the channel to the “big water”.  We stopped at the tunnel because SAM’s boat could not turn around due to length of 16+ ft.
